Preliminary Matters: The Obion County Board of Education will meet in regular session June 2, 2014 at Obion County Central High School at 7:00 p.m. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., the school will host a reception for our retiring employees. Consent Agenda (Item VI.): Board Policy #2.401 provides, “The director of schools is authorized to accept gifts to the school system and may designate others to accept gifts for particular schools on behalf of the Board. The Board will officially express appreciation to the donor and all major gifts will be reported to the Board and publicly announced.” On behalf of the Board and our school administrators, I sincerely appreciate the gifts made to our schools during the 2013 – 2014 school year.
Background Information: The consent agenda consists of the monthly personnel report and the monthly financial reports/business activity. In addition, as of 5/21/14, the following item(s) has/have been removed from the technology inventory system and taken to the Obion County Recycling Center: (29) computers All of the above equipment was in non-working condition or of no value due to usage and age. A document describing the equipment is attached. Staff Recommendation: I recommend approval of all items listed on the consent agenda. |
